Kathmandu, Nepal Odyssey 2018

In November 2018, at the invitation of local colleagues, Tumbuh Global hosted its first guided global odyssey to Kathmandu, Nepal to intersection with the sacred Tihar Festival. Three US travelers journeyed to Nepal for the very first time to joined us for this event. Tumbuh travelers visited many prominent religious sites and participated in one-of-a-kind ceremonies with local business and families while in Kathmandu. Those locations included Kathmandu Durbar Square, Swoyambhuntah Stupa, the Tibetan Women’s Refugee Center of Kathmandu, Boudhanath Stupa, viewing of the Goddess Kumari, and sacred cremations at Pashupatinath Temple. Tumbuh Travelers also witnessed the sunrise over the Himalayan mountain range, conquered a 6-hour village day trek, and some even went paragliding!
