About
Tumbuh Global, founded in 2018, is an educational consulting company that uses the principles of global citizenship education (GCED) and adult learning theory to facilitate growth and foster belonging among adult lifelong learners.
Tumbuh (‘tomb-boo“) is an Indonesian word meaning “to spring forth or to emerge.” We chose this name for our organization at the prompting of Indonesian colleagues who believed that this word most accurately described our work in the world. Together, with our global partners, we desire a springing forth of one’s truest self; personal growth through global connection.
Tumbuh Global exists to connect people across cultures, religions, and continents to build and grow global competencies. As an industry leader in GCED learning for adults, Tumbuh Global uses immersion learning experiences, online learning course hosting and trainings, and digital media communications to develop socially-conscious, self-aware, spiritually-grounded global citizens committed to the collective good.
