EdTech Optimization Audits

This exclusive audit service is designed for Pathways grantees from ATS member schools that have a digital infrastructure in place for online learning and want to ensure it is operating at peak efficiency, or need a better understanding of their current system before adopting new technologies. Our analysts focus solely on the educational technologies—from LMS configurations to integrated third-party tools—that directly impact your digital classrooms. While our EdTech Strategy Consulting serves as a guided discernment for future investments, the EdTech Optimization Audit is a comprehensive analysis of your EdTech stack in the here and now.

  • To maximize your time and institutional resources, the audit is structured into a streamlined, two-phase engagement:

    1. The Discovery Consultation: We meet with key stakeholders to map your current technology landscape, identifying every tool in use and the pedagogical goals they are intended to serve.

    2. The Findings Presentation: Following our internal analysis, we present a comprehensive report of our discoveries. This includes a clear "enhance/reconfigure, reduce, and/or eliminate" recommendation based on functional capabilities, potential redundancy, hidden costs, and technical performance.

    • User Experience (UX) Analysis: Identifying the technical friction points—such as navigation paths or non-standardized interfaces—that hinder adoption and engagement.

    • Data Collection & Analysis: Identifying the data collected vs. the data that can be collected to enhance engagement and learning outcomes.

    • Integration & Redundancy Mapping: Identifying every third-party tool and integration to uncover overlapping functionalities and potential hidden costs.

    • Scalability & Performance: Assessing if and how your current toolset will support growth without increasing manual administrative overhead.

**Choose the EdTech Optimization Audit to refine and streamline your current digital tools; choose EdTech Strategy Consulting to design the roadmap for a new program launch or a major technological pivot.

  • The EdTech Optimization Audit is typically initiated by the Academic Dean, the Provost, the Director of Distance Education, or the Lead Instructional Technologist. We encourage administrators and directors/technologists to enroll as a team, whenever possible, for a more comprehensive assessment.

This audit provides critical clarity if you are struggling to maximize your current technology, facing faculty and student frustration, or dealing with the escalating costs of digital maintenance.

We empower your leadership to make informed, data-driven changes that transform technical friction points into optimized learning management systems.
